Marcus Simmons was an extraordinary man who passed away in May 2009 from Sickle Cell complications. Marcus served in the Air Force, was a bus driver for Copperas Cove ISD, and was a family man who loved the community. Marcus was born on January 20th; therefore, the day after his birthday, we are hosting Marcus Simmons Day on January 21, 2023. Marcus Simmons Day will be a free event for the community, and it will be held at the Killeen Special Events Center from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Marcus Simmons Day is a day to celebrate life, love, and the community.
