Most of the Texas population is within a three-hour drive to Killeen. We’re close to everything, and we have a young, vibrant, diverse population.

We’re home to one of the largest military bases in the world. Our downtown area is one of the only historic downtowns in America filled with mid-century development.

If you’re scouting for that small-town feel, but you still need those big city amenities, Killeen has you covered. If you’re looking for a military community, a diverse community, or art deco buildings, Killeen is your place.

The production re-built Sadr City on post, creating over 12 acres of scenery, 3,000 linear feet of new facades, and used 5,921 sheets of plywood. During the time of production, it was the largest working set in North America.
